    "ocrText": "June 19th,1928.\nDr. Frederick B. Flinn,\nCollege of Physicians and Surgeons,\n437 West 59th St.,\nNew York City.\nDear Dr. Flinn:\nI had occasion to discuss with Martina Ober\nthis morning, the matter of dental work which she needs to have\ndone, and I find that the dentist to whom she has been going\n(Dr. Gorham, of N.Y.C.) has advised her that she has one\nabscessed tooth which needs to be removed, and one buried tooth\nwhich should be taken out. She is very much alarmed about these\nteeth, and is adverse to having them removed, because she is\nafraid that she will start some trouble.\nWe have discussed the matter with her quite thorough-\nly, and tried to explain to her that she should by all means have\nthis work done, and in line with our conversation of the other day,\nI suggested that tre find a dentist who would do this work for her\nat a nominal fee. She finally consented to go to such a man for\nan examination, and an estimate on what the cost would be, then she\nwould discuss the matter further with us to determine the course\nto pursue.\nI, therefore, wish that you would take this matter\nup with such a man as you have in mind, and explain to him the\nsituation, making an appointment for this examination. I would\nsuggest that he reserve giving Martina any estimate on the cost\nof the work, for it is our disposition to bear part of such cost\nin the event that it is anything more than nominal. Martina\nexpects to quit work for us about the middle of July, and if\npossible we would like to get this matter straightened out prior\nto such time.\nMr. McCoy tells me that he has had an estimate of\nthe dental work which he needs to have done, and that his Doctor\nquotes him a price of $165.00. It is our disposition to handle\nhis case similar to that of Martina's, insofar as cost is concerned,\nif it can be arranged. That is we would probably bear part of the\ncost, and the Doctor would charge the patient a fee, which to all\nintents and purposes was the only fee charged.\nAssuring you that we will appreciate your assistance\nin this matter, we remain\nSincerely yours,\nHHBarker:RH\nVice President."
