Dr. Herbert N. McCoy,
Lindsay Light Company,
161 E. Grand Ave.,
Chicago, Ill.
Dear Dr. McCoy:
I trust that you will pardon us for not
writing you sooner, but there have been so many urgent
demands during the past two months that we have simply
neglected doing 30.
No doubt you have noticed by the papers
that the suits which were pending against us in New Jersey
have been settled. A Committee of three physicians has
been appointed to take charge of these cases to really
determine if the conditions claimed were due to radium.
Of course, it will probably be several months before any
definite decision is reached by the Committee.
You will recall that you rendered an opinion
to us on Dr. Drinker's original report made to us in June
1924. We have paid you nothing in the way of compensation
for your services in this connection and we invite you to
render us an invoice accordingly.
Your interest in this whole matter has been
encouraging to us, and it is quite possible that at some
later date we shall wish to avail ourselves of your further
advice, as undoubtedly other cases will arise if any
encouragement at all can be gained from the final opinion
of the Committee of physicians.
Trusting that this finds both you and Mrs.
Mc Coy enjoying California, and with personal regards,
we wish to remain
Sincerely yours,
CBLee:RH
President.
Note: We are forwarding this to your old address asking
that it be sent on to you, as we do not know your
present one.
