Dear Dr. Flinn:
In accordance with our 'phone conversation of
even date, I am herewith glad to give you the vocations of those
employed by us,reported on by Dr. Drinker in his formal report:
E. Bartman, Plant Superintendent.
L.C. Bilstein, Chemist - Mr. Bilstein at one time
handled considerable radium, but during the period of a year or
more immediately preceding Dr. Drinker's investigation, Mr.Bilsbin's
workewas confined to the manufacture of zine sulphide. This
manufacture did not include the activation with radio-active con-
stituents.
M.Cunningham, Inspector - did some retouching work.
E.B.Edwards, Painter.
L. Herling, Skilled Mechanic - did soldering of
platinum iridium needles, etc.
O. Hummel,Fainter.
C. Jayson, Chemist on crystalization of radium.
A. Laird, Painter.
E.D. Lehman, Chief Chemist - did high grade
crystalizing and tubing of radium preparations.
S. Malifer, Painter.
L. Mann (colored) - Plant laborer.
R. Munson, Inspector - did retouching work.
J. Morris, Asst. to Mr. Bilstein - handled no radium.
M. Norris, Inspector - did retouching work.
M. O'Connell, Painter.
V. Roth, Stock clerk in charge of radium.
M. Saloi, Painter.
H. G. Senning - had been engaged for a few months in
weighing out luminous material for painters at the time of Dr.
Drinker's investigation.
J. M. Smith, Painter.
H. Viedt, Vice Pres. and Plant Manager.
M. Wilson, Painter.
