August 28th,1928. Dr. F. B. Flinn, Medical Center, 630 West 168th St., New York City. Dear Dr. Flinn: Mr. Morgan, who is in charge of the glass manufacturing department of Eimer & Amend called me on yesterday with reference to the use of a speciall prepared colloidal iodine prepared by Eimer & Amend for ridding the human system of various poisons generated due to an infection or chronic condition. I have known Mr. Morgan for a number of years and have rather a high regard for his integrity. I also know that Mr. Morgan has suffered from tuberculosis for some time, and his Doctor now advises him that he has been practically cured, and that he attributes this cure entirely to the affects of the colloidal iodine. Mr. Morgan further told me that there has been a number of instances where colloidal iodine has been used, as prepared by Eimer & Amend, as a last resource with exceedingly favorable results. In this connection he was wondering whether or not such a method of treatment might not prove beneficial to the girls suffering from "Radium Poisoning". I advised Mr. Morgan that we were not in a position to pass an opinion on such a subject nor even recommend its being tried, but that I would be glad to call the matter to the attention of those whom we considered to be interested in this subject. Mr. Morgan advises that if we, or anyone else, was interested sufficiently to investigate the matter he was sure that Dr. O.P. Amend, who is an M.D. as well as a Ph.D., and connected with Bimer and Amend, would be glad to go into the matter in detail. I do not know as this will interest you, but felt that I should call it to your attention. Sincerely yours, HHBarker:RH Vice President.
