October 6th, 1928. Mr. Raymond H. Barry, Potter and Berry, 60 Park Place, Newark, N.J. Dear Mr. Berry: I have your letter of the 3rd instant, regarding the claim of Mrs. Canfield. I am glad that you have raised this question in the way that you have, and you can be assured that the matter will have our most earnest attention. Mrs. Canfield is a new name to us, and we wonder if you would be so good as to give us a little more information. What were the dates of her employment at our plant? I would also like to know when her trouble first developed, and how serious it is. If you would care to send along the results of the tests made on her expired air I should like very much to see them. While I am not insa position to say anything definite at this time with regard to the company's attitude, nevertheless, I can assure you that the company will give care- ful consideration to this claim and that it will do whatever is right and just under all the circumstances. If you will assist me in gathering whatever facts are necessary to reach a proper decision in the matter I shall appreciate it very much indeed. Very truly yours, President. CBLee:RH
