Dr. Herbert N. McCoy,
c/o Lindsay Light Company,
161 E. Grand Ave.,
Chicago, Ill.
Dear Mr. McCoy:
With further reference to your letter of
September 26th, and ours of October 1st:
We regret to say that we do not see any
possible plan in the near future whereby we might be able to
work your mesothorium residues. The Belgians are cooperating
very nicely with us, and of course insist on using radium, since
they seem to have an abundant supply.
We certainly regret our imability to encourage
you in this matter, and we suggest that if you have an opportun-
ity to dispose of these residues that you do so without further
regard to us. Of course, if conditions should ever change
whereby we could see our way clear to again use mesothorium, you
would naturally be one of the first persons whom we would
approach.
Trusting that this finds you enjoying Chicago,
I remain
Sincerely yours,
President.
