Dr. Moynihan Says Cost of
$60,000 Per Gram Due
to Monopoly
LONDON, Nov. 8.-(Star Special
Wireless)-A definite declaration of
the existence of a "distinet corner, a
monopoly" in radium by a Belgian
company is made by the medical su-
perintendent of the Radium Institute,
who declares that the Belgians, owing
to their ability to produce radium in
any quantity they wish, had driven
others out of the market and were now
able to charge what they liked, and at
present the price was $60,000 a gram.

effort must be made to reduce the cost
