227 ST.PAUL STREET BALTIMORE MD. CASUALTT Company 60 JOHN STREET NEW YORK CITY SURETY - CASUALTY claim DEPARTMENT GEORGE W. PESINGER RESIDENT VICE-PRESIDENT A. D. WHITEMAN NOV 191928 EXAMINER OF CLAIMS NEW YORK, Nov. 17th, 1928. United States Radium Corporation, 535 Pearl Street, New York City. Gentlemen:- Att'n. Mr. C. B. Lee, President. Replying to your letter November 15th received today, would advise you that because of a prior appointment, the writer cannot attend the conference on the 19th inst. As far as discussing the possibilities involved in the last two matters it appears to the writer that the action is premature as their employment with you and subsequent employers, their present physical conditions and the legal questions involved should be investigated before we can intellgently decide what action should be taken. Concerning the physical examination mentioned, we would be governed by the good judgment of Mr. Smith. Yours very truly, NEW AMSTERDAM CASUALTY COMPANY. GEO. W. PESINGER. Resident Vice President. per GWP/ek
