mety Suds November 20th,1928. Mr. Burton E, Emory, Aetna Life Insurance Company, 100 William St., N.Y.C. Re: U.S.Radium Corporation Cases Dear Mr. Emory: We have your letter of November 17th, and note the reservations which you have made in regard to the two threatened actions now in the hands of Congleton, Stallman & Hoover of Newark. We accept your aid in these possible cases subject to the reservations which you have enumerated, with the feeling that your attitude will be one of fairness. We are enclosing copies of all correspondence had with Messrs Congleton, Stallman & Hoover to date. This in addition to the conference had with you in Mr. Markley's office yesterday morning, is about all the information we have at the present time. I am informed by Mr. Weeks of Congleton, Stallman & Hoover, that Mrs. Mets worked for us under the name of Ethelwynne Peer. Her employment began May 1,1916 and she quit work for us some time before November 15,1918. The first typed pay-roll we ever had was that of November 15th,1918, and she does not appear on that. Mr. Weeks states that he will try to ascertain from Mrs. Metz, the exact date she left. Of course you would not be interested in this possible action since our policy with you began in the fall of 1919. Mrs. Tuft worked for us under the name of Helen Phillips, and her date of employment began May 28,1917, and she last appeared on our pay-roll under the date of August 24th,1921. There may be a portion of the time between these two dates which she did not work, but this has not been ascertained as yet. We shall submit to you any further information which may come to hand. Very truly yours, CBLee:RH President.
