535 Pearl Street
New York City, New York
My dear Howard:
My train arrived in St. Louis on time and I proceeded to
Columbia directly and arrived about midnight of Saturday night. I have
found time on the train and yesterday to write out a report summarizing she
work we did in New York. This report is attached and consists of three
parts as follows:
1. Tests for Radioactivity on Mr. H. H. Barker
2. Tests for Radioactivity on Mr. McCoy
3. Tests for Radioactivity on the five women.
My expense account and a condensed statement of our account including my bill
for service is also attached.
To the report on the activity of the girls is attached
a summarized statement of the gamma ray measurements obtained both at Newark
and New York. The detailed data on the activity of the expired air have
not been included and if you desire the actual readings on the instrument,
please let me know and I shall forward the experimental data upon which
results summarized in Table I are based. I am sending you a duplicate copy
of the report, but I am not sending a copy to Dr. Flinn. I am retaining one
copy here and I am also retaining the notebook in which are recorded our re-
cords.
With very kind regards and hoping that you will carry
forward our experimental program as best you can and please do not forget about
the experimental data on expired air which Mrs. Hughes obtained.
Very sincerely yours,
Herman Schlundt
Herman Schlundt.
