Dr. L. R. Thompson,
U. S. Public Health Service,
Room 1-123,
C Building, 18th St. SW,
Wash., D. C.
Dear Sir:
Wie have your letter of December 7th, relative to the
proposed conference in Washington on December 20th, for the
purpose of discussing proper protective measures for those
engaged in the application and handling of radium luninous
material.
Ne shall be very glad to participate in this conference
and suggest that Mr. H.H. Barker, our Vice President, Chief
Chemist and Physicist, be invited as well as myself.
Following your suggestion we should like very auch to
have a discussion with you previous to the conference, either
on Thursday or Friday of this week in New York, or if it is
more convenient we would be glad to come to Nashington on the
night of the 18th, and see you there on the 19th. Either
arrangement would be equally agroeable to us, so I leave the
time and place to your discretion and pleasure.
If you are in a position to state, we would like to
know if the conference proposed will last longer then one day,
since I am planning a trip for over the holidays, and would
like to make reservations out of Washington on the night of
the 20th, if it is not imperative that I should stan longer.
Very truly yours,
President.
