December 17,1928. Mr. S. Kjaer, Bureau of "abor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, Washington, D.C. Dear Mr. Kjaer: We have received your letter of December 12th, sent from Waterbury, Conn. As regards the report by the Committee of three physicians, now studying the cases of the five girls, whose suits were settled last June, we have not the slightest idea what their ultimate findings will show. We are informed, however, that it will probably be several months before their investigation is completed and & final report made. While we are most anxious to do everything we can to further the knowledge bearing on this subject, and welcome the opportunity to cooperate with you, nevertheless, we would hesitate to commit ourselves definitely on what disposition should be made of the report of the Committee until their findings are complete. I shall attend the conference on Thursday of this week in Washington, called by the Department of Health to consider this subject, and trust that I may have the pleasure of meeting you at that time. Cordially yours, President. CBLee:RH
