Dr. James Ewing,
Department of Pathology,
Cornell University Medical College,
First Ave. and 28th St.,
New York City.
Dear Dr. Ewing:
In accordance with your request we are
glad to herewith send you two copies of the agreement
with Quinta providing for annuities, and the
creation and operation of your Committee. The agreements
with Grace Fryer, Catherine Schaub, Albina Larice and Edna
Hussman are exactly the same except for the proper substitu-
tion of names.
Contrary to the thought expressed yesterday
morning your Committee was not created by the Court, but
upon our insistance to give us protection in following out
the provisions of the agreement. It would, therefore,
appear that your responsibility is largely to us and that
you are under no obligation to make either a formal or in-
formal statement as to your findings to anyone except the
United States Radium Corporation.
After you and your Committee have had an
opportunity to digest this agreement I would suggest that
Mr. Lee and the writer have a conference with you so that
our interpretation of the points involved will be mutual.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
