Edwin F. Smith Raymond Dawson Edwards V Smith MAR 6 1929 Attorneys of Counsellors at Law No.1 Exchange Place Telephone 2037 2035 2036 Montgomery Jersey City, N.J. March 5, 1929. United States Radium Corp., 535 Pearl Street, New York City. Att: Mr. Barker. Re: Canfield, et als vs. U.S. Radium Corp. My dear Mr. Barker: I have yours of the 2nd inst., enclosing copy of the letter from Drs. J.M. Steiner and H.M. Imboden in the above entitled matter. The report so far as Mrs. Canfield is concerned seems to be very good. I note the doctors do, however, state that the evidence of bone changes, shown on the photographs of other cases which Dr. Humphrey showed them, indicates such a change as might be effected by radium. It is also noteworthy that they do not agree with Dr. Humphrey that the so-called white lines mean radium deposits. Thanking you for your courtesy in the matter, I am Very truly yours, EFS/RH Edwin F. Smith
