March 8th,1929.
Dr. Herman Schlundt,
University of Missouri,
Columbia, Mo.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
Your letter of March 5th, advising that it
will be possible for you to be in Newark on March 17th, is at
hand.
I have communicated this information to
Mr. Markley, and he in turn has talked with Mr. Berry with the
result that arrangements have been made to proceed with this
examination on Sunday morning, March 17th at Mr. Bery's office
at 10 o'clock A.M.
I previously told you that we are disposed to
honor Mr. Berry's request that Dr; Flinn not be present, but
whether or not we shall have anyone else is still undetermined.
Frankly I believe that Mr. Berry is going to object to the presence
of any other physicist, but it is possible that we will endeavor
to have Dr. Failla present in case he will consent to serve.
If you will kindly advise me as to the time of
your arrival I shall endeavor to meet you.
I shall take the equipment to Mr. Berry's office
Saturday March 16th, and leave it there over night so that it will
become acclimated.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
