Coby sent to Dr. Jailla
March 8th,1929.
Dr. James Ewing,
Department of Pathology,
First Avenue and 28th St.,
N.Y.C.
Dear Dr. Ewing:
Under date of March 4th, I received a letter
from Dr. Herman Schlundt of the University of Missouri, paragraph
of which reads as follows:
"I hope that you will get the Commission to
endorse the suggestion made by Dr. Failla, namely, that I proceed
to determine the radium content of the residues. I shall hold the
residues until I receive word through you from the Commission."
Dr. Bailla has undoubtedly explained the situation
with regard to these samples, and we trust that you will advise us
that it is satisfactory to have Dr. Schlundt proceed with this
work, for we believe that the information as to the amount of radium
contained in these residues will prove to be of importance in the
completed analysis of this work.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
