Dear Mr. Barker:
Herewith copy of letter from Dr.
Flinn from which you will note that he is anxious to
see what he can do toward negotiating settlement of the
radium cases on the basis of Workmen's Compensation in
New Jersey. Personally, I am opposed to having anything
to do with Dr. Knef.
I would advise most strongly against
having Dr. Flinn conduct any negotiations of any kind
looking toward settlement. Finally, it seems to me that
before the question of settlement is discussed on any
basis, we should all have a conference for the purpose of
outlining our future conduct.
A prompt reply will be appreciated.
