-2- this work. Our joint paper appeared in the April issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology and, the reprints should be coming along shortly. I believe that you stated that you would like to have about 50 of these. Your letter dated May 6th, is at hand and, I note that you are making progress with the analysis of the excreta collected in March. While the Committee have not shown any indication of being impatient in this matter, still I know that they are interested in this date. I am glad to note that wr. warkley advised you that you will shortly be reimbursed for moneys expended, and regret the delay that has been involved. However, I must advise that from our standpoint it is the only means which would protect us - for we are finding that moneys which we have excended in the past for experts relative to the iltigation are likely to be our own burden. That is thero is considerable question whether we shall ever be reimbursed for same. This, as you appreciate seems hardly fair in view of the circumstances that we have cooperated at the request of the Insurance Companies in this instance, but you also relize they are extremely hard people to collect money from, and unless they are in a position whereby they are forced or else in duty bound to pay they will renig. I do not make this statement in criticism of the Insurance Companies who have been helping us in our litigation, for on the whole they have given us excellent cooperation. Inasmuch as the school year will soon be drawing to a close I presume that you will soon be making plans for your summer vacation, and I hope that you feel that you are in a position to take a trip abroad, or do something equally interesting. With kind regards, I am Very truly youre, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
