Dr. Herman Schlundt,
University Of Missouri,
Columbia, No.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
I find in the accumulation of correspondence on my
desk a report from Dr. Ewing on the case of W. A. Curtis of New Hampshire.
Dr. Ewing was apparently quite interested in this case and,
I presume would be glad to follow it up at some future time. However, I
am under the impression that Mr. Curtis called on Dr. Flinn on one of his
recent visits in New York and, whether or not his associations with Dr. Flinn
will cause Dr. Ewing to lose interest in the case or not I am rather uncertain.
Ny feeling is that Dr. Ewing will not have much to do with any case on which
Dr. Flinn is working. I rather regret this, for I feel that there would be
more gained by having Dr. Ewing follow the case than Dr. Flinn.
Has Mr. Curtis been sending you, at intervals, samples of
excreta for examination and, if so what have been your findings?
I understand that Dr. Flinn will be out of the City until
after Labor Day, therefore, I have heard nothing from him. I. shall endeavor
to see him upon his return and, it is possible that he will discuss this case,
although he may not.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
