OFFICE OF THE DEAN
December 31, 1929
Mr. Howard H. Barker,
U. S. Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
New York City
Dear Barker:
I was in Des Moines when your wire of
December 27 arrived which explains my delay in replying.
I cannot be certain about February 17 as I have some
negotiations under way with several western Sections
of the A.C.S. for a lecture trip about that time. It
looks as if the plan would go through and I would there-
fore not be able to come in February.
As I wired you yesterday, I could come to New
York from Washington for a preliminary conference on Jan.
17, if you so desire. This would be agreeable to me as
I would like to know the kind of points which are involved
in the present suit and to decide whether I could be of any
assistance. I will be east again in March, that is, as far
east as Rochester, New York, and could come on either in
the week-end of March 13 to 15, or could be available March
19 to 22 in the following week as my last lecture is at
Buffalo the night of Tuesday the 18th. In May I have the
entire week full, from Monday May 12 to Saturday the 17th.
If I came on in connection with this trip, it would have to
be in the latter half of the preceding week, May 7 to 9,
or in the first half of the following week, May 19 to 21.
I may go to the meeting of the A.C.S. in Atlanta, April
7 to 11, and could arrange to come through New York either
going or returning.
If you wish me to come to New York on January 17,
please let me know as soon as possible as I may wish to make
other arrangements, if you do not.
With best regards,
Sincerely yours,
s C find
S. C. Lind,
SCL/CS
Director.
