January 9,1930. Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo. Dear Dr. Schlundt: Arrangements have been completed for the conference on January 17th, at 10 A.M. You will come to our office in New York, and then proceed to the offices of our attorneys in Jersey City. Your letter of January 9th, has just arrived, and I have read it with much interest, and agree with your deductions quite whole-heartedly. From recent discussions with Dr. Flinn, I think the point raised in the second paragraph of page 2, namely that the radium may have been converted to a form whereby the emanation was readily eliminated, has occured to Dr. Flinn. Dr. Flinn has never mentioned this paper to me or offered any reprints, even though I have asked for any recent articles that he may have reprints on. Dr. Seidlin has been kind enough to send to our office a reprint of this article. Referr ng to the points involved with regard to this situation: I would suggest that the matter be left status quo until you are here on the 17th, when we can discuss it with much more mutual understanding than we can set our thoughts down in writing. I hope that you will be able to spend two or three days at least with us, so that we can discuss this subject as well as many others of mutual interest. Sincerely yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
