January 23rd,1930. Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo. Dear Dr. Schlundt: I am herewith attaching final draft of paper pretaining to the work which we did in Chicago on November 9 and 10,1929. I trust that you will read this copy carefully, and offer any suggestions or corrections that occur to you. There are one or two specific points which I wish to call to your attention for consideration: 1. Thruout the paper I have put the words Radium Poisoning in quotation marks, but rather question whether this should be done. There was a time of course when we did not accept this term as conveying the proper meaning, but whether or not that time has passed I am not certain, and I would be glad to have your opinion on this point. 2. On page 2, paragraph 2 in the last sentence, you will note that I have inferred a criticism of the work of Drs. Flinn and Seidlin. This I wish you would consider carefully and I will strike out if you think it advisable. I have gone over the experimental part rather carefully, and hope that I have not allowed any errors to escape my attention, however it would probably be well for you to check this with your data. 3. At the conclusion of table one (1); have made some deductions regarding the results reported, and while these deductions seem more or less obvious to me, you may not concur. In case you do not I would be glad to have your version of such deduc- tions. I am sending copies of this report, to both Dr. John and Mr. Armstrong, advising them that we are about to submit this article for publication, and asking them for comments or criticisms that they may have to offer. While I don't believe that they will make any suggestions, still this is a courtesy which I think we agreed shoild be extended th them. Sincerely yours, HHBarker:Ri Vice President.
