-3- in moderation was never considered befraught with any hazards I am confident that you will give this matter your careful considera- tion, and that you will give us your assistance by allowing us to establish these facts from the experience you have had in this line. I trust that when you discuss this natter with your Board of Governors of the Mayo Clinic they will appreciate the situation with which we are con- fronted and consent to your serving in the capacity we have discussed. You are fully aware of what we are confronted with, in that any or every girl who ever has a pain or an ache of any nature will be inclined to ascribe it to the effects of exposure to radium during her employment by us. While we recognize that there are certain cases existing, still ve also have knowledge to the effect that a goodly number of the girls have never been effected. Sinceroly yours, Vice President.
