February 5,1930; Dr. S. C. Lind, University of "innesota, School of Chemistry, Minneapolis, -inn. Dear Dr. Lind: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of February 2nd, enclosing bill for your services, as well as travel- ing expenses. I am glad to state that I am passing this along to Mr. Markley, who has a fund for meeting such expenses. Your bill seems quite in order, and I trust that Mr. "arkley will take care of it promptly. I note that you expect to be in Columbia on February 13th, and in this connection I have written to Dr. Schlundt request- ing that he turn over to you the compilation of articles pretaining to the litigation, which he took homewith him from New York. In case Dr. Schlundt might overlook this matter, It might be well for you to call it to his attention. Matters are progressing along normal lines with reference to the suits, and as far as we know now, we expect to go to trial on March 10th and 25th respectively. We, of course, shall advise you as to the exact date when we shall need you, as well as Drs. Moore and Schlundt. You will doubtless be interested to know that we expect to take depositions from Drs. Bowing, of Mayo Clinic, Stevens of Detroit, and Pohle of Madison, Wis., with refe ence to the internal administration of radium chloride and any possible deleterious effects that may have been noted or that might have been suspicioned. With kind regards, I am Sincerely yours, Vice President. HHBarke :RH
