February 27th,1930. Dr. S. C. Lind, School of Chemistry, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn. Dear Dr. Lind: Your letter of February 24th, has just come to my attention. Upon communicating with the attorneys I find that they are expecting you Thursday March 13th. Would suggest that you, therefore, proceed with any other plans that you may have, and in the event that we should need you prior to that date it would be our misfortune, and we would have to adjust our program to fit in with yours. I may say that we are putting forth every effort at this time to work out some scheme hereby these cases can be settled, and while we have not arrived at any definite conclusions as yet, I am still hopeful. In view of this fact I would suggest that you keep us advised as to your itinerary, so that in the event the cases should be settled and we would not need you for trial we could notify you promptly. Sincerely yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
