Markley,\na/o Collins & Corbin,\n1 Exchange Place,\nJersoy Gity, N.J.\nGentlemon:\nAfter our converation of yosterday afterncon, Dr. Schlundt and\nI went to the Presbytorian Hospital and had a conference with Dr. Flinn.\nWe found Dr. Flinn in fine spirits and very anzious to avoid being subpoened\nby the plaintiffs lieta and in their actions ageinst ua set for April\n22nd. In faot Dr. Flinn advised us that ha expected to leave the city on\nSaturday of this week and would not retzum for a matter of five or six\ndays, and Unitupon his return he felt that in ordez to protect himself from\nbeing that he ahould absent hinself from nia regular habitates,\nboth his donicile and his laboratory. so felt that he should avoid any\npossibility of his wife and daughter boing aubpoened as they tere in the\nrecent actions, and that this could readily be accomplashod by having then\ntake up their dozicile tomporarily at somo other place.\nI agreed with Dr. Flinn in the procedure ho outlined, and that he\nwould probably be protecting his ristra in this mattor, and that inassuch as\nhe folt the way he did rolative to testifying on bebalf of Tuck & llets that\nho was within his rights by following cuch a proceduro.\nlla discussed the Hoare caas, and Dr. Flinn stated that be personally\ndid not expect to seo either hoaro or hor attorney upon thoir visit\nto the Presbytarian Hospital, for he hnd nade all arrangezents for lzs. Hoaro\nto bo taken caro of by Dr. Suith, who is connected with the Clinic at the\nHospital. Ha sau no reason why he should havo any contact shatacever with\neithor l's. Hoaro or her attorney as ho felt cortain that Dr. Smith could get\nthe complete history rolativo to the Boszo case as to past trestment and\nphysicians nhom she has had, and other facta of interest.\nlinghes called at our office this corning and had a long\nconversation with De. Schlundt, and a short one with Dr. Schlundt and syself.\nNro. Hughos in not at all unfriendly tovards us, but on the contrary is dis-\nposed to be quite friendly. She ia vary anxious to avoid any possibility\nof becoming involved in logal wranglos in the future. She states that her\nservices have been onlisted 00 tuo different occaaions on bohalf of the liets\nand Tuck cases, but on bota occasions ahe has declined to servo, and that at\nthe present tine ahe has no arrangement with these people, and furthermoro\nthat under no circumstances could they infivence her to becone interested\nin their behalf."
