My dear Dr. Barker:
At a meeting of the Subcommittee on Allotment of Grants
of the Committee on the Effects of Radiation upon Living Organisms
to be held sometime during April we are to consider an application
from Dr. F. B. Flinn.
Heindicates that you are well acquainted with him and
would be willing to address a letter of recommendation to the Com-
mittee as to his ability, judgment, and opportunities for making
profitable use of the grant for which application is being made.
It would, therefore, be of material assistance to this Com-
mittee in making its awards if you would let us have some statement
of your opinion of Dr. Flinn.
