page 2-2 views of the pelvis, taken in February 1930. These show changes, (irregular destruction and proliferation), in the neck of each femur and about the scaro-iliac joints, possibly also in the lower lumbar vertebrae, similar to the changes seen in the films of the 5 cases I have had under observation, (Freyer, Hussman, Schaub, Larice and McDonald). No definite evidence of a tumor process was noted. The teeth appeared on casual inspection to be fairly sound. I understand that Mrs. Saxer shows radioactivity by the gamma ray test, computed to correspond to the presence of 8 micrograms of radium in her body. Taking all the above findings into consideration, I am strongly inclined to believe that she has a true case of radium and/or mesothorium poisoning. However, before making a definite conclusion, I should like to see X-ray films of her entire skeleton, including, for comparison, a retake of her pelvis. A blood count and urine examination would be of interest, also. (signed) Lloyd F. Craver, M. D.
