Dr. Herman Schlundt,
303 Hicks Ave. 9
Columbia, Mo.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
It seems that the letter which you
dictated on Friday, relative to information you desired
as to the tests on lrs. McDonald, conducted by you and
Dr.Flinn in New York, has not arrived at our office.
The information which I am giving you
is talcen from report of test conducted by you at the
Hotel Marseilles November 19th to 21st,1928.
The radium equivalent by expired air
was 8 micrograms and the gamma ray activity 5 microgram
giving a total activity of 13 micrograns. The constant
used for the garma ray machine was 8.6 x 10-5. I think
that this is the information you desire.
Mr. Smith has not definitely decided whether
he wishes a re-examination of lirs. Tuck and Mrs. Metz, as
yet, but I hope to have some final word from him during the
next few days.
In a recent conversation with Dr.Humhries
he indicated that one of these girls never used a brush in
in the application of luminous material to watch dials.
Obviously this must have been Metz, and it is quite
probable that upon ro-examination we might find that she is
not active.
trip back to New York was very hot and
dirty, but since my return we have had a couple of nice
rains and at the present our weather is very delightful.
Sincgrely yours,
Vice President.
