August 27th,1930. Dr. Herman Schlundt, Pilgrim, Michigan. via Frankfort. Dear Dr. Schlundt: This will acknowledge receipt of copy of report of examination of Mrs. Metz and Mrs. Tuck, sent from Columbia, Mo. Your letter of August 19th, is also at hand. I am glad to note that Mrs. H. is inclined to dispose of her mesothorium at a price which might be satisfactory to us. Upon your return to Columbia this Fall I would suggest that in the event you can purchase this material for $900.00, I think we can afford to take a chance. I have read Wall's thesis, and will return it during the next few days to Columbia, together with a few sugges- tions which might be helpful in producing a luminous material of better luminosity than that which Wall succeeded in obtaining. Our weather has been very delightful during the past two weeks, which makes one feel quite content even though they are not at some sea-side resort. Sincerely yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
