Mr. H. H. Barker
United States Radium Corporation
535 Pearl Street
New York, New York
My dear Barker:
In accordance with your letter of September
16 I a.m today writing to Mrs. Hanford that we shall pur. -
chase her supply of mesothorium. Probably a week or ten
days will elapse before she will deliver this material and
after I have completed the purchase I shall send you a bill
for two-thirds of it to be reimbursed by you and Mr . Lee.
I think we can afford to take a chance on this investment
because it is not so very much.
Under date of September 15 thore is a special
to the New York Times from East Orange, New Jersey, head-
ing: "Radium Victim's Child to Get Medical Tests. " Do you
know whether Mrs. Anna Stasi, 515 Morris Street, Orange,
was ever tested for radioactivity? The notice does not say
whether she was tested but simply goes on to say that the
father of the deceased expects to get the three-year old
daughter, Dolly, examined for radioactivity.
With very good wishes, I remain
Sincerely yours,
Hermon Schlundt
