For second 3 weeks stop parathornone and give patients
a high calcium diet - milk Grade A,1 to 2 quarts a day,
plenty of green vegetables.
Calcium lactate Grs.XX.t.i.d.
Viosterol (Meade Johnson(s ) gtts.V.y.i.d. increasing to
gtts. X.t.i.d.daily
Encourage them during this eriod to obtain as mouh
direct, unfiltered sunshine exposure of whole body as
possible.

Third collection of stools and urine for 3-day period
at end of second 3 weeks.
6.
Repeat 3 week period of parathormone andl low calcium
diet. It may be possible this time to begin with 40
units. Probably unwise to exceed maximum of 50 units.
7.
During last 3 days of this third 3-week period, collect
stools and urine
8.
Fourth 3-week period stop parathormone, go back to
high calcium diet, and viosterol gtts.X.t.i.d.
9.
During last 3 days collect stools and urine
Stools and urines to be forwarded to
Dr. Lloyd B. Craver,
Memorial Hospital,
New York.
Label accurately, with patient's
name and exact dates of period of
collection.
Please keep detailed record of dates and
dosages;observations on patient's condition,
reactions, etc.
Please communicate with me regarding any
problems that come up.
