Dr. Herman Schlundt,
University of Missouri,
Columbia, Mo.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
Your letter enclosing copy of letter from
Dr. Ling to Dr. Parsons, relative to Dr. Moore, is before me,
and I am indeed most sorry to learn of Dr. Moore's condition.
I would be more than glad to do anything
possible in the way of endeavoring to make available radium
supplies in this area, but really feel that the time has probably
passed for such treatment. Furthermore the treatment would have
to be administered in Rochester, and inasmuch as the majority of
the radium owned by the Memorial Hospital is in their emanation
plant, it would hardly be practical to make available their
supply. I also understand that they do not have enough material
to meet the demands of their own clinic, although they undoubtedly
would be more than pleased to make some sacrifice in this matter
and share their supplies with a need such as this.
I would be grateful to you if you would keep
us posted regarding Dr. Moore's condition.
Sincerely yours,
HHBarker:RH
