Dear Dr. Lind:
Dr. Fialla is out of the City for the week, but
I have today hnd a conference with Dr. Le F. Craver, the
examining physician at lemorial Hospital, whom I know person-
ally, regarding radiation treatment for Dr. looro.
Dr. Craver asked me one or two questions, which I
could not answor, and will have to depend upon you for this
information. First, he asked whether, what is known as a
*decompression operation" was made - as I understand this it
moans that the skull was not replaced over the area removed:
Secondly he asked how soon would it be possible for Dr. Moore
to be brought to New York for treatment. Dr. Craver stated
that they have had quite favorable results with cases of this
kind, and feels that the most desirable type of radiation to
use is gadima radiation from a large pack.
It is for this
reason that he believes it would be highly desirable that
Dr. Moore be brought to the Momorial Hospital if at all possible.
However, in the event that this is not feasible he suggested
that they might try heavy high voltage X-Tray treatment.
Due to the vast amount of experience they have
had at Nemorial Hospital with radiation and x-ray therapy, I
consider it one of the best places in this country for this
type of treatment, and if at all feasible feel that Dr. Moore
should be brought on here.
Dr. Craver very kindly stated that he would
personally see that Dr. Moore was admitted at once upon his
arrivel, and that everything be done to give him the best service
possible.
lie expect to have a conference during the next
fow days with regard to the litigation coning up on January 5th,
after which I shall write you more in detail relative to this
matter.
