UNIVERSITY OF missouri COLUMBIA DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY December 20, 1930 Mr. H. H. Barker United States Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street New York City My dear Barker: I wish to inquire whether you have anything further about the trial of Mrs. Metz. What are the chances for a settlement of her case and that of Mrs. Tuck? Our vacation begins today. Have a number of matters requiring attention before Christmas and will take full advantage of this respite. I have an invitation to attend the meeting of the Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America at Toronto, December 29-31. Wildish's work on actinium and some of Muench's results on the Pb:U ratio in cyrtolite are of interest to Dr. Lane of Tufts College. In case it is fairly certain that you will want me soon after New Years, I may plan to take in Toronto on the way East. For my own convenience, I hope that 'the case will not go to trial. University work begins January 5 and I would like to be on hand. With Season's Greetings, I remain, Sincerely yours, Herman Schlundt Herman Schlundt HS:AS
