At the\npresent tice sha is in foirly asod condition insofar as being able to gat about\nand attend to har rogular dutios. However, Dr. Homphriss feols that ber con\ndition ia largely due to his efforts in hor behalf.\nDr. Huphries hes advised Saox that abe is a radium case, and\nthat abe should have compensation for har injuries. # He wote Judge Clark\nsoláciting his servicea in her behalf, bot Judge Clark replied that inasmach\nan there ware other radium cases bafore the Federal Court at the present time\nha did not feal that he should become connected sith the case. Dr. Humphries,\ntherefore, folt justified in calling the case to our attention with the bope\nthat it could be sottled out of court. Dr. Humphries indicated that Saox\nhas not discuased her condition to any extent with people other than hinself,\nand would zuch prefer not to do ao, unless it bacoras necaspary in order to\nprotect ber rights.\nis was unable to get a detailed history of Bra. Saox, auch as dates of\nher exployment, her maiden and past history, but Dr. told me\nthat if I would call his by Tobone some tire the middle ox latter part of next\nweak be would be glad to givo this information to \" In teying to find out\nwhat Humprics felt would be a fair coapensation for Krs. Saox be indicated\nthat a settlezent sixilar to that effected with the five girla two years ago\nthis June, he felt would be quite in order. beliove that you Succeoded in\ngetting acrosa to hin the fact that ** would nevor enter into any agressent\nsuch as that entered into mith the five casos regarding ennaities, and that any\nsettlement effected would have to bo a flat ount I also indieated that I felt\n10,000 rather ample for a légitimate caso with total disability,\nand\nthat\nin\nmy\nperponal opinion the nost such a osse ahould excect to get would be that\nalloxed by\ncompensation.
