Dr. Frederick B. Flinn,
College of Physicians & Surgeons,
632 W. 168th St.,
N.Y.C.
Dear Dr. Flinn:
We are glad to advise you that we stock
ampoules containing 5, 10, 25 and 50 micrograms of radium
element in 2 cc sodium chloride solution for intravenous
injection. These ampoules are sold to the medical
profession on a basis of 20# per microgram of radium
element contained, with a discount to druggists and
hospitals of 20 %.
While We do not stock a radium solution for
oral use, still we are prepared to make up such solution
on order, and in this connection would be glad to prepare
such a solution as you might elect to prescribe for the
patient in question. The solution which we would put up
would differ from that of Bailey's, as our solution would
contain radium only, while Radithor was a combination of
radium and mesothorium.
It is my recollection that you have practi-
cally all the literature on this subject. There has been
nothing occurring recently which is of importance.
We shall be glad to cooperate with you in any
way that we can to meet your requirements in the treatment
of this patient.
With kind regards, I am
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
