UNIVERSITY OF missouri COLUMBIA DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY March 25th, 1931. Mr. H. H. Barker United States Radium Corporation MAR 27 1931 535 Pearl Street New York City, New York My dear Barker: Enclosed herewith is a report of the radium determinations by the emanation method which I am today sending to Dr. Craver. I have avoided lengthy comments, nor have I given any detail as to the methods used in making the radium determinations. Previous to making these determinations by the emanation method I had made some alpha ray com- parisons by the film method. From these measurements which are, of course, very rough, I felt sure that the results by the emanation method would show no unusual elimination of radium; and on the basis of these alpha ray comparisons I made up all the samples in advance of the final determination. With very kindest regards, I remain, Sincerely yours, Herman Schlundt Herman Schlundt. hs.as enc.
