DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY CORNELL UNIVERSITY MEDICAL COLLEGE FIRST AVENUE AND 28TH STREET NEW YORK May 8, 1931. Mr. H.H. Barker, U.S. Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street New York City. My dear Mr. Barker: Last week Dr. Craver went. to see Miss Schaul with Dr. Humphries. He found her in very bad conditi on, re- quiring both hospital care and nursing attention. She is badly crippled and cannot dress herself. The condition is e onsiderably 1 ower than it was six weeks ago. He made arrangements with the Mountain View Rest with full attention to details, and he had a satisfactory understanding with Dr. Humphries. He dis- cussed Dr. Humphries' bills, wi th only partial satisfaction. Under the circumstances, he advised against any attempt to change the situation with Miss Schaub. I have written to Dr. Peabody, Dentist, asking him for more information about the radiographic services he rendered. I am holding up another bill to consult with Dr. Herendeen. I propose to closely inspect all these bills, but after this inspection, I am compelled to approve them, unless there are obvi ous objections Sincerely yours, Carring James Ewing.
