May 13th,1931. Dr. James Ewing, Cornell University Medical College, 1st Ave. and 28th St., N.Y.C. Dear Dr. Ewing: Thanks for your letter of May 8th, giving us information relative to Dr. Craver's visit in New Jersey with Miss Schaub and Dr. Humphries. Since I talked with you regarding this matter we have had occasion to discuss other matters with Dr. Hupphries and he quite freely told us of Dr. Craver's interview, and I can readily appreciate the situation is such that it is hard to make any change. Dr. Humphries, I am sure, is sincere in not running up any unnecessary medical bills for the care of these people, and probably in the hands of a young and ambitious physician bills and expenses would probably be much larger than they are with Dr. Humphries caring for the girls. Sincerely yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
