May 16th, 1931. Mr. E. A. Markley, 1 Exchange Place, Jersey City, N. J. Dear Sir:- Am dropping you a few lines to let you know that I was very much surprised at the officer of the small amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) as a settlement; as I expected at least fifteen thousand dollars, ($15,000.00). Up to the present time I have no lawyer and have avoided publicity. I am as badly handi- capped as those whose settlements have been made at a higher figure. Yours very truly, (MRS) RUTH SAXER.
