Re: Ruth Saxer v. U.S.Radium Corporation
Dear Ir. Markley:
We have your letter of May 19th, regarding
interview with Mr. and Saxor.
Since there is a strong probability that there is
no legal liability on our part, it seems to us that our offer to
settle with lis. Saxer for $5,000 is most generous, and therefore,
we would not be interested in offering her a larger sum. As a
matter of fact from a strictly business standpoint we would such
prefer that she instituted a suit, but of course, from a humanitarien
standpoint, if Mrs. Saxer is ill the $5,000 which we have offered
to contribute could probably be used to her advantage.
