268 SOUTH CENTRE STREET
ORANGE, NEW JERSEY
TELEPHONE ORANGE 3-5357
June 17th, 1931.
Mr. H. H. Barker, Vice President,
United States Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
JUN 13 1931
New York City.
My dear Mr. Barker:-
Mrs. Saxer was in to see me today, and told me
about her talk with Mr. Markley. As you know,
I
don't consider that offer a reasonable one, as you
settled with all the other girls for at least eight
thousand dollars.
It seems to me that if the Saxers were decent
enough not to go to court, they should get at least
the same treatment. They are very undecided about
what to do, as they had hoped to get the thing
settled without having a lawyer. Consequently I am
writing you to see if they cannot be offered a better
settlement. Otherwise, I am afraid they will get a
lawyer, and while they will not get quite so much,
you will have to pay more.
Yours very truly,
Robert@stempleria
