Mr. H. H. Barker
U. S. Radium Corporation
535 Pearl Street
New York City
My dear Barker:
I am indeed pleased to hear that you are
really planning to come to Colorado during the latter
part of August and that you expect to make a trip to the
Paradox Valley. We may be able to cooperate with you in
making this trip. We are now making plans for a trip to
Colorado; just who all is going has not as yet been settled
but we shall probably have three or four persons here from
the University who are going to Colorado the end of next
week. The plans for the trip have not advanced far enough
to give addresses. Wo expect to stay about three weeks.
Part of the time will probably be spent near Buena Vista,
and we may run through to Gunnison, Montrose and Paradox
Valley.
By the time you arrive we shall probably heve
the radium claims securely sewed up so that you will not
have any further chance at business. In the meantime I
hope that you will send me the street and business address
of Mr. Potter, for I am not at all sure that his company
still goes by the name of the Shattuck Chemical Company.
With very kindest regards, I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Herman Schlundt
