H. H. Barker, Esq.,
Vice Pres. U. S. Radium Corp
,
535 Pearl Street,
New York City.
Dear Mr. Bark er:
Reiterating our telephonic talk of today,
we have settled this case after some further negotiation for
$5000. and the settlement will be consummated on Friday.
I understand that you will send the check
for $5000. payable to the order of Ruth Winters Saxer and Adam
F. Saxer, her husband. It would be wise to put on the draft,
"In settlement of any and all claims against the Uni ted States
Radium Corporation.
I think you should advise Dr. Humphries of
this settlement so that he can protect his medical bill by
appearing at the time set for the settlement. We expect the
settlement to go through at three P. M. on the 14th inst. How-
ever, if he is confident of the payment of his bill it will be
unnecessary to have him present.
Yours yery\truly,
EAM: AG
character
P.S. Kindly note other letter under even date herewith enclosed
acknowledging your check.
