November 18th,1931. Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia,Mo. Dear Dr. Schlundt: A few weeks ago I wrote you with reference to an examination of the people at the Elgin State Hospital who have been given radium chloride internally under medical super- vision. The Radium Extension Service, as well as the medical men in charge of these cases are quite anxious for electroscopic tests, and I am wondering if you have given the matter any thought, and if you have come to any décision as to your interest in this subject - also whether you feel that you would be justified in undertaking the work. Please let me know with reference to this matter. Yesterday I had occasion to have a conference with Dr. Martland, and he again assured me that he was preparing to send you some of the bone specimens of the La Porte case. If you are in any urgent need of these specimens I would suggest that you drop Dr. Martland a line telling him that I have passed the word along to you, and give him more explicitly your immediate need for specimens. Sincerely yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
