April 29th,1932 Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia, Ko. Dear Dr. Schlundt: With reference to your inquiry about our Stebbins string electromometer: I have discussed this matter with Mr. Lee, and we are disposed to loan you the apparatus, and hope to make shipment during the next few days. I am afraid that you will not find the apparatus in very good condition as it has not been in use for a number of years, as a matter of fact it is my impression that Dr. Hess never did get the apparatus to functioning properly. I was rather hoping that we might have a call from Dr. Lind during his sojourn in New York, but to date have heard nothing from him, and I presume that he is returning to Minneapolis the latter part of this week. Very truly yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH
