Dr. James Ewing,
2 West 106th St.,
New York City
Dear Sir:
Re: Katherine Schaub
I am in receipt of letter of Sept. 22nd., 1932 in
which Mr. Barker states you did not approve of the visits to
Dr. Humphries office on the 12th., 25th., and 29th., of August.
You no doubt are aware during the absence of Dr. Humphries
the month of August, Dr. Davis was in charge of Dr. Humphries
practice. It was about this time Miss Schaub began to have more
trouble than ever. I felt the need of advise, as the limb was
progressively growing worse. On the 25th., an appointment was made
and we we re not informed of Dr. Davies being ill until Miss Schaub
went into the office, therefore that trip was made again on the
29th.
Owing to the gangrenous condition of Miss Schaub's limb
are changing the dressings more frequent and this requires more
supplies which accounts for the added expense in the bills for
medical requirements.
I believe Miss Schaub to be growing worse in general health
as well. Shows intense suffering with her limb.
I trust I did not infringe on my rights in transporting
Miss Schaub frequently for advice, when present trouble began.
BST.C/IG
Very truly yours,
mrs. Domald Itllain
