DOUGLAS SEARCH LABORATORIES HUNTINGTON FUND FOR CANCER RESEARCH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WALTER DOUGLAS FOR THE TREATMENT OF CANCER GEORGE F. HOLMES Chairman, Board of Managers AND ALLIED DISEASES Superintendent HARRY PELHAM ROBBINS President INCORPORATED 1884 CHARLES H. SIMMONS Vice-President TELEPHONE EDWARD C. DELAFIELD AFFILIATED WITH ACADEMY 2-6140 Treasurer CORNELL UNIVERSITY MEDICAL COLLEGE H. MORTON MERRIMAN Secretary CENTRAL PARK WEST AT 106TH STREET / NEW YORK October 28, 1933 actions. Mr. H. H. Barker, U.S. Radium Corporation, Pearl Street, New York City. Dear Mr. Barker: Enclosed is a bill from Highland Pharmacy for Mrs. Larice, which I have approved, reluctantly, after reading her letter of October 27th, which I also enclose. Attached you will find my analysis of the bills, showing the rather large amounts for the various drugs. In view of the statement she makes in her letter I could see no other course than to approve the bill, although it still seems to me she must be using much more of the various drugs than there is any real need for. You probably have heard that Mrs. Fryer died yesterday morning. Doctor Humphreys called me up to tell me and said that Doctor Martland was not going to perform an autopsy because of the family's objection. In view of what Mrs. Larice says about her inabil- ity to come to New York I would like to ask whether you would feel that the company could arrange transportation for her and Mrs. Hglussman once, say, in four to eight weeks so that I could be seeing them more regularly? Very truly yours, Lloyd of Gever. LLOYD F. CRAVER Attending Physician b Enclosures
