DRS. STEVENS. JARRE AND HASLEY 1429 DAVID WHITNEY BUILDING DETROIT ROLLIN H. STEVENS. M. D. RANDOLPH 4493 HANS A. JARRE, M. D. CLYDE K. HASLEY, M. D. June 19th-1934 Mr. H. H. Barker c/o U. S. Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street JUN2/1934 New York, N. Y. My dear Mr. Barker: Thank you very much for your communication of the 11th enclosing check. I have been in Cleveland attending the meeting of the American Radium Society, the American College of Radiology and the A. M. A. and have just returned home. I hope the postponement of the case until September 10th does not prejudice your side of the case, and I hope and believe it will come out satisfactorily. With kindest regards, and thanking you for your prompt attention to our invoice, I am Yours sincerely Rollin H. Stevens RHS-EBL P. S. There was some reference in some papers on the use of thoroum in small doses as contained in thorotrast - (papers at the Radiological Section of the A. M. A.) They claimed that the injection of 1-1/2 micrograms would cause no damage at all to the system, although the reticulo-endothelia in the liver would take up the thorium, the cells would get brown, die and drop off. Their places would be taken by new cells. This was shown fter experiments with cats, dogs, or something of the kind.
